FIRE/EMS Stations

The department responds to more than 400 incidents a day, totaling more than 157,000 incidents a year. Approximately 75% of those calls are for EMS services, and the department responds to approximately 200 structure fires a year. Because of the area’s high call volume, the Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department is one of the busiest career/volunteer combination fire departments in the country. To meet this demand, the department utilizes 45 stations across 7 battalions. Each battalion is made up of approximately 5 to 7 fire stations.
