Denise Robinson is the Executive Director of the Revenue Authority of Prince George’s County.
The Revenue Authority of Prince George’s County is a quasi-governmental entity that serves as a real estate development and development finance agency, and a manager and operator of programs and facilities in partnership with other County agencies. The Revenue Authority generates trade, industry, and economic growth for the public good through the acquisition, development, and financing of real estate projects and the operation and management of facilities that stimulate employment for County residents and revenue for the County and its businesses.
With over 15 years of experience in affordable housing, real estate, and economic development, Ms. Robinson has demonstrated success in strategic planning and execution, public-private partnerships, multi-layered financing, and complex deal structures. Prior to joining the Revenue Authority, she was the Assistant Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Economic Development in the Office of Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks. During her tenure, she oversaw the planning and implementation of the County Executive’s signature Blue Line Corridor initiative, helping secure over $400 million in both public and private investments to transform the corridor into bikeable, walkable, amenity-rich neighborhoods. In addition, she was responsible for overseeing multiple real estate agencies within the County’s economic development cluster, while also leading complex financial deals for key real estate and capital projects in the County.
Prior to joining the Office of the County Executive, Ms. Robinson served as the Director of the New Communities Initiative (NCI) in the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED). As Director of NCI, she was responsible for transforming key neighborhoods by redeveloping public housing and the surrounding area into vibrant mixed-use, mixed-income communities.
Ms. Robinson previously worked as the Senior Mid-Atlantic Project Manager for Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH), Inc. Her responsibilities included managing the planning and execution of a $500 million multi-phased, mixed-income, public-private real estate redevelopment project in Washington, D.C.
In the formative years of her career, Ms. Robinson worked as a Development Officer for the DC Housing Finance Agency (DCHFA), where she structured comprehensive financing models for over $300 million in various mixed-use affordable housing projects, financed by tax-exempt and/or taxable bond proceeds, low-income housing tax credit equity, historic tax credit equity, and public subsidy.
Ms. Robinson is a graduate of Hampton University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a Master’s in Business Administration, with a concentration in real estate.
