Biden-Harris Administration, Deputy Secretary for HHS Visits Prince George’s County

On Thursday, July 18, 2024, Deputy Secretary Andrea Palm and Regional Director Melissa Herd from the Department of Health and Human Services visited Prince George’s County to talk about the Inflation Reduction Act and ways in which the Biden-Harris Administration is lowering drug costs for seniors.  The meeting took place at the Laurel-Beltsville Senior Activity Center.  The Deputy Secretary spoke and then took questions from the audience.  Dr. Sanmi Areola and staff from the Department of Family Services as well as the Aging Advisory Committee were in attendance.
