In collaboration with local businesses, non-profits, community organizations, and athletic and academic programs, we provide our young adults with well-rounded opportunities for growth.

Prince George’s County Police Explorers Program
The Prince George's County Police Department Law Enforcement Exploring Program is an exciting work-based training program for young men and women who are interested in careers in law enforcement and public safety. The Prince George’s County Police Department, along with the Learning For Life Foundation and the Boy Scouts of America, have come together to provide a youth program designed to promote citizenship, build character, and develop physical and mental fitness.

Prince George’s County Police Athletic League
The Prince George's County Police Athletic League is a juvenile crime prevention program that uses mentoring, educational, athletic, and recreational activities to create trust and understanding between law enforcement and youth. This program promotes a healthy environment for the youth of Prince George's County under the supervision of law enforcement professionals.

Pre-teen and Teen programs push the boundaries of traditional recreation. These programs strive to reduce idleness among teenagers and pre-teens and prepare them for the future. These programs aim to increase the readiness of young people through high-quality, and community-supported events, programs, and services.

Summer Youth Employment Program
The Summer Youth Enrichment Program (SYEP) is an award-winning program through the County’s Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM) that provides job readiness training, career workshops, and entry-level summer employment opportunities to young people ages 14 to 22.
