Every year, your Department of the Environment (DoE) celebrates "Earth Day Every Day" throughout the month, celebrating Earth Day on April 22!
Prince George's County Acting County Executive Tara Jackson has issued an Earth Month Proclamation that proclaims April as Earth Month and reminds all Prince Georgians of our responsibility to protect our planet, conserve resources, and build a sustainable future.

Take A Furry Foto
Let's get social for Adopt a Shelter Pet Day on April 30 in honor of Earth Month. Take a picture of your furry, feathery, or scaly rescued pet(s) and share with the hashtags #PGCEarthDayEveryDay and #AdoptDontShop. "Fotos" sent via email must be received by April 21 at doecomms@co.pg.md.us.

Get Ready for Mulch Madness
Grab your shovels, picks, trash bins, and other containers and head to the free Mulch Madness event on Saturday, April 19,, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The annual event occurs at the Prince George's County Organics Composting Facility in Upper Marlboro.
