Prince George's County Announces Holiday Closings for Independence Day
County Government offices, except for public safety agencies, will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2024, in observance of Independence Day
Largo, MD – The following offices, services, and facilities will be closed or suspended on Thursday, July 4, 2024, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
NOTE: **New waste collection days and services go into effect on Monday, July 1. Impacted residents are reminded to follow the new collection day of service. To verify if you have a new waste collection day, visit bit.ly/PGCcollectiondaylookup.

TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T), will not operate on Thursday, July 4, 2024. Regular operations of TheBus will resume on Friday, July 5, 2024. The County’s Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services, including dialysis transportation, will not operate on Thursday, July 4, 2024. Regular operations of the Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services will resume on Friday, July 5, 2024.
The Prince George's County Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2024. Regular business hours will resume on Friday, July 5, 2024.
Also, PGC311 will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2024, and will resume regular operations on Friday, July 5, 2024, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at PGC311.com.
