Prince George's County Announces Holiday Closings for Independence Day 

County Government offices, except for public safety agencies, will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025, in observance of Independence Day

Largo, MD – The following offices, services, and facilities will be closed or suspended on Friday, July 4, 2025, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Residential Food Scraps and Yard Trim Collections Regular collections occur on Monday, June 30

TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T), will not operate on Friday, July 4, 2025. Regular operations of TheBus will resume on Saturday, July 5, 2025. The County’s Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services, including dialysis transportation, will not operate on Friday, July 4, 2025. Regular operations of the Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services will resume on Saturday, July 5, 2025. 

The Prince George's County Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025. Regular business hours will resume on Monday, July 7, 2025.

Also, PGC311 will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025, and will resume regular operations on Monday, July 7, 2025, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at PGC311.com.
