Special Crimes Division

The Special Crimes Division's mission is to assist victims of our community with much-needed services.  Each investigator strives to thoroughly investigate any crimes assigned to the Division and bring offenders to justice.  The Special Crimes Division encompasses six different sections and units to help victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child and elder abuse, the safe return of missing persons, and the registration of sex offenders within Prince George’s County.  Under our umbrella of the Special Crimes Division is The Family Justice Center, a multi-disciplinary team of professionals collaborating to help victims impacted by crime.
