Training and Education Division

The mission of the Training and Education Division is to enhance public safety in our community through training programs that emphasize ethics, professionalism, and current best practices in the law enforcement field for future and current public safety professionals.  The Department's Training and Education Division is comprised of Basic Officer Training, Advanced Officer Training, the Firearms Section, and the Career Development Section.  All instructors are certified through the Maryland Correctional and Police Training Commission.
